How it works

Pick it once. We keep an eye on the dates.

Here is everything that happens after you sign up: what you choose, what we watch, what lands in your inbox, and the part that stays between you and the official program.

  1. STEP 01Pick your topics
  2. STEP 02Email, plus optional texts
  3. STEP 03Get reminders and updates
  4. STEP 04Act on the official site

The walk-through

From sign-up to the official site, in order.

No fees, no login, and nothing is ever submitted on your behalf.

  1. Pick your topics

Choose from eight program areas: food, energy and utility bills, rent and housing, health coverage, childcare, phone and internet discounts, senior programs and veteran programs. Pick one or all eight. You can also add your ZIP code, because many programs are run locally.

  2. Get email, add texts if you like

Email alerts are free for everyone who signs up. Texts are optional: add a mobile number and tick a consent box only if you want them. Message and data rates may apply, and replying STOP ends them.

  3. Get reminders and plain-language updates

We watch renewal windows, seasonal openings and date changes for the areas you picked. Then we send a short note that turns program wording into plain sentences: what changed, when, and what people usually gather.

  4. Act on the official site

Our alerts point you to the official program. You apply, renew or ask questions with them directly. We never take, review or submit applications, and only the program can decide who qualifies.

An example season

A renewal season, start to finish.

Timing depends on the program, your state and what you pick. Here is the usual shape of it, using a food assistance renewal as the example.

Email Text, if you opt in Amber marks a close or changed date
  1. 6 weeks outA window is announced

    Dates go on our calendar

A renewal window is posted for an area you follow. We note the dates and where the official notice lives. Your own notice letter still has the date that counts.

    The plain-language guide

A short email that explains what the renewal is, what tends to change from one year to the next, and where the official form lives.

  3. 2 weeks outTime to gather

    Your paperwork checklist

The documents people usually gather, like a photo ID, proof of income and a recent bill, so you can start collecting them before the rush.

  4. 3 days outThe date is close

    The heads-up

A short reminder that the date is close, with a link to the official renewal page. If you opted in to texts, it arrives by text as well.

  5. If a date movesIt happens

    The correction

Programs sometimes move a date. When we learn about it, we send the new date and say what changed in a sentence or two.

    Email
  6. Your moveOn the official site

    You renew with the program

You renew directly with the official program, and only they decide the outcome. We never see or submit your forms. Then we keep watching for the next window.

    You and the program

Example only. Real timing depends on the program, your state, and when official dates are announced.

Plain-language updates

How a four-page notice becomes four clear sentences.

Program notices are written for the program. Our guides and updates are written for you, and every one of them starts from the official source.

  1. Start from the source

We read the official program page or public notice, not someone else’s summary of it.

  2. Keep only what you need

What it is, who it is generally meant for, the dates, and what people usually gather.

  3. Write it the way people talk

Short sentences and everyday words. If a term matters, we explain it the first time it comes up.

  4. Link back, and keep it current

Every guide we send links to the official program page so you can check it. When we learn the program has changed something, we email you an updated guide.

Clear lines

What we do, and what we never do.

A reminder service should be easy to trust. Here is exactly where our part ends and the program’s part begins.

What we do

  • Explain public programs in plain language, with a link to the official source.
  • Watch renewal windows, seasonal openings and date changes for the areas you pick.
  • Send a short email, and a text only if you opted in.
  • Tell you when we learn a date we mentioned has moved.
  • Answer questions sent to info@ebenefitstracker.com.
  • Stop texts when you reply STOP, and emails when you unsubscribe.

What we never do

  • Charge a fee for our guides or email alerts.
  • Take, review or submit an application for you.
  • Decide who qualifies, or promise that anyone will be approved.
  • Ask for a Social Security number, bank login or card number to sign up.
  • Sell or rent your personal information.
  • Present ourselves as a government agency. We are not one.

Rules and dates vary by state and change over time. Always confirm the details with the official program.

Process questions

The fine print, in plain words.

The questions people ask most about how the alerts work. Anything else, just write to us.

Do I need a login or a password?

No. You sign up with your name and email, plus a ZIP code if you like and a mobile number only if you want texts. There is nothing to log in to.

How often will you message me?

It depends on the areas you pick and how much is changing in them. Some weeks there is little to report, so you may not hear from us.

For texts, message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Can I change my topics later?

Yes. Email info@ebenefitstracker.com with the areas you want to add or drop, and we will update your picks.

What if a date changes after you remind me?

When we learn that a program has moved a date, we send a short correction with the new date. Programs can change things quickly, so the official program is always the final word.

Can you tell me if I qualify, or apply for me?

No. Only the program can decide who is eligible, and you apply with them directly. Our guides explain who a program is generally meant for, so you can decide whether it is worth a closer look.

How do I stop the messages?

Reply STOP to any text. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Or write to info@ebenefitstracker.com and we will remove you.

Pick your topics. We will keep an eye on the dates.

Sign-up takes about a minute. Email alerts are free, texts are optional, and you can stop either one whenever you like.
