About eBenefits Tracker

We read the fine print. You make the call.

eBenefits Tracker is an independent, privately owned information service. We turn public-benefit program pages into plain-language guides that we send by email, along with a heads-up before renewals and deadlines. Who qualifies, and what to apply for, is always between you and the official program.

Not a government agency, and we say so on every page. We are also not connected to the VA’s former eBenefits portal or any other government website.

Why we exist

Public programs can take real pressure off a household budget. The hard part is finding the right page, making sense of the rules and remembering the dates. That is the part we do.

  • Our mission

To make public-benefit information easy to read, easy to keep track of, and easy to check against the official source.

  • Who it is for

Anyone looking into food, energy, rent and housing, health coverage, childcare, phone and internet, senior or veteran programs who would like the dates kept in one place.

  • Who runs it

A small, independent, privately owned team. We do not work for any government agency or program, and no agency reviews or approves what we write.

What we do

Where our job starts, and where it stops.

Knowing the limits of a service is part of trusting it. Here they are, in plain words.

We do

Our job
  • Write plain-language guides to public-benefit programs and send them by email.
  • Keep track of renewal windows, seasonal openings and date changes.
  • Send email alerts, and texts only if you opt in.
  • Point you to the official program page or office when you are ready to apply.
  • Answer your questions at info@ebenefitstracker.com.

We do not

Not our job
  • Act for, or speak for, any government agency.
  • Decide who is eligible for any program.
  • Take, review or submit applications.
  • Charge a fee for our guides or email alerts.
  • Promise or guarantee that you will receive a benefit.
  • Sell or rent your personal information.

How we pick and check information

Source first. Dated. Open to correction.

Four rules we write our guides and alerts by. The illustration shows where each one appears.

  1. Official sources first

We start from the program’s own pages and public notices, not forums or rumors, and we link back to them so you can check our work.

  2. Plain language

Short sentences and everyday words. When a program term matters, we explain it the first time it appears.

  3. Dated updates

Every guide we send is dated, and an update notes what changed, so you can tell how fresh it is.

  4. Corrections welcome

Spotted something wrong or out of date? Tell us through the contact form. We check it against the official source and send a corrected guide if it needs it.

Rules differ by state and change over time. Always confirm the details with the official program before you act.
